Understanding the Contribution of Consumer Plastics to the Exposome

From a seredipitous experiment, I’ve unveiled cutting-edge research research conducted at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, now published in ACS Biomaterials Science & Engineering. My work, “Moldable Plastics (Polycaprolactone) can be Acutely Toxic to Developing Zebrafish and Activate Nuclear Receptors in Mammalian Cells” with co-authors Alexander Medvedev, Sergei Makarov, Robert Nelson, Chris Reddy, and Mark Hahn, reveals that polycaprolactone is more biologically active than previously understood with implications for consumers, vendors, regulators, and researchers.
